Creating a Safe Workplace
Running a business isn’t just about productivity and profit — it comes with a legal duty to provide a safe workplace and meet client requirements. Under workplace health and safety (WHS) laws, employers must identify hazards, manage risks, and protect staff, contractors, and visitors from harm.
Failure to comply can result in:
- Fines and legal penalties for directors and companies.
- Reputational damage and loss of client trust.
- Higher insurance costs and potential shutdowns after serious incidents.
A proactive approach to safety protects both people and business performance.
How We Support Our Members
FAV makes compliance easier by providing:
Safety Plans
frameworks to plan, implement, and monitor WHS in the workplace.
Checklists & Forms
ready-to-use templates for hazard reporting, inspections, and compliance records.
Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)
guidance for managing high-risk tasks safely and meeting legal obligations.
